The 2nd meter was just installed and I turned on the system, but I don't see solar production in the app.
On the Wave HD inverter the green LED is solid and the blue LED comes on for a few minutes and then goes off for a few minutes.

@Casper702, I have been wanting to ask each time you mentioned. Why do you have a second meter?

I'm on NEM with a 11+ KW system. I am adding a 4.4 KW system with two PWs. One meter.

I have no idea I thought a 2nd meter was standard for all installs.

Of course I can't speak to all. But not me. As a matter of fact. I've had PV since 2009. Made 67 MKh's since. One meter. And I've been under HECO's EV TOU program since it was a pilot. I get a discount when buying back my kw's after 9 pm til 6:00 am. With one meter, everything in the house gets same discount i.e., washer/dryer/AC/dishwasher.

The 2nd meter is a requirement of the CGS+ program. Casper did you get your solar reporting in the app yet? If not you can download the SolarEdge SetApp and diagnose.

Just thought of this, but I’ve also heard of people having to contact Tesla after PTO to get the app to work correctly, possibly something they need to activate or sync on their end.

Put my deposit in for 4kW DC/1 PW system on 10/1/20. No permit application yet on DPP. Called Tesla and was told highly backlogged. Hoping for a miracle.

I paid my deposit in September 2019 and my system is still not 100% functional. Don't get your hopes up.

Same here. I thought getting the app working and verifying that everything is displayed properly is part of the commissioning process?

My app shows how much energy is pulling from the grid just not from solar.
But you're right Tesla probably just lied to me since that seems to be how they handle everything.

I think i will contact a lawyer about this. Tesla has good products but their customer service sucks. A 4-6 month contract is slipping into year 2.

It does. It also showed solar production when they(installers) had the temporary meter head while commissioning the Gateway & Powerwalls.

It did show solar production when they installed the panels, but Tesla said the feature was disabled until I get PTO.

Hmm, yeah that sounds fishy since neither I nor fstop have PTO yet are getting solar production in the app(as you’re aware). So what exactly is Tesla saying, they can’t “turn on” solar production in the app until HECO issues the “official” PTO or whatever they call it? What a *sugar* show.

On the PTO topic, did they let you know they were coming prior to installing the second meter? I’m due any day now.

Tesla said that showing solar production in the app before getting official PTO is illegal, so they have it disabled. They said my system is producing power and charging the battery. Which can't be true because I connected to the gateway VIA wifi and I can see my battery is at 5% charge and dropping.

For the 2nd meter I got no notice they were coming out. It was a subcontractor for HECO who didn't even knock on my door, they went straight to the box and installed the meter.
I only knew the guy was at my house because my camera alert went off and I went outside.

Just received an email from Tesla that I have PTO and it is okay to turn on my system. I just turned the system off and back on to see if the app would recognize the change with no luck. The app still doesn't show solar production.
