Powerwall 2 Registration

I had a PW2 installed yesterday at approximately 7pm GMT and have registered it; but have yet to receive an email confirmation from Tesla (so I can use the app). Can anyone advise how long the registration takes please?

I'm not too sure how it works in the UK, but here in California we have to get our PTO (Permission to Operate) from our local energy company before it can be turned on and before Tesla flips the switch and make it visible in the Tesla app.

UK doesn't have that bit of bureaucracy but I suspect that someone in Tesla support still has to flip a switch. Is there anyone there at the weekend?

Thanks for your replies. It is different in the UK; the installer initially made an application to the DNO (Distribution Network Operator) at the end of last year, which was approved. The Solar PV and PW2 installation was completed last Friday, they commissioned it and said that once I’ve registered the PW2 then it will be visible on the app within a few hours. Unfortunately it’s not at present, but I guess it has coincided with the weekend, so I will have to patient. Tesla PW Support don’t work on weekends, but a friendly representative did advise that she would pass my details onto their Support team to get back to me on Monday.

Mine was visible in the app as soon as they installed it. It took me 2 months before I got PTO.

Tesla have “flipped the switch,” and I can now use the app! I’m really pleased with the performance, and now considering getting a second PW.

I just had a problem with registering the gatewy. They kept leading me to the registration web page. I finally had to have them do it while I was on the phone. It took about 5 minutes after that
