    Hi All -

I had my site audit last week. I just got a call saying they can't install the 9 PowerWall 2 units I ordered because "due to a limitation in the Tesla energy gateway, a maximum of 6 PowerWall units can be installed"

The web site still says "Installs easily on the wall, or stack up to ten Powerwalls together on the floor."

Anyone know anything about this ?

    Thank you,

    -V

Have you asked about splitting your loads and installing two gateways?

If you're going to need 6 power walls, how about a powerpack instead ?

Indeed: Isn't one Powerpack less expensive than nine Powerwalls?
Can't be mounted on a wall, of course. Unless it's the Great Wall of China/RioGrande.

But a Powerpack doesn't include an invertor... Who knows what else would be missing...

Tesla Tweet refers to an article claiming:

"Up to nine Powerwalls can be interconnected..."

Is this an endorsement for mis-informaton?

    This page:
    Tesla Powerwall

    Says:
"Installs easily on the wall, or stack up to ten Powerwalls together on the floor."

However, the "order your powerwall" form only allows you to "order" up to nine.

Apparently not even Tesla knows how many are supported in a single install.

    I can't seem to find powerpack's prices.

September 2016 pricing is quoted by Business Insider:

Two 210 kWh battery packs cost $145,100 all in, including the cost of an inverter and installation.

They should really look into making a home/small business power pack. Something like 50kWh for $20K installed.
