Powerwall Compatibility - SolarEdge 7000-H

We are in the process of installing a new solar system that apparently has a SolarEdge 7000-H inverter.

We were told today that if we wanted to hook up the installer's LG Chem, that we would need to buy a SolarEdge battery compatible inverter instead (Model 7000-A), which costs another $3,500/inverter. We have been looking at the Powerwalls instead because the LG Chem's can't back up the majority of our house.

Does anyone know if the Tesla Powerwall is compatible with the SolarEdge 7000-H?

My impression is that Powerwall didn't require a "battery ready" inverter.

SolarEdge should be UL/IEEE compliant and thus will shut down if you are off-grid and once Powerwalls reach 100%. Do note that 'out of the box' the Powerwalls run the frequency up to 65Hz as a trigger, however this can wreak havoc with 'consumer grade' uninterruptible power supplies (like one uses for computers or small sensitive electronics). The SolarEdge will trip on 61Hz, which does not affect the UPS, so this setting needs to be tweaked by Tesla Powerwall Support after installation.
