It helps with door dings/scratches as well.. Minor ones i'm sure.Really? The hood along with the bumper are essentially the Only things that need to be covered. Doors etc seem like a waste of time in my book unless your driving the car sideways.

I paid $1800 after discount for the full front coverage.A local shop will do $800+tax and would cover the full front bumper, partial hood & fenders, and the side mirrors.
I asked for the full hood and it went from $800 to $1,500.. Seems like a HUGE jump just to do the rest of the hood.
What has everyone else paid and for how much coverage?
I’m in central jersey as well. Your price sounds reasonable...could you share the name of the place you used? Thanks a lot!
Sorry for the late reply.
SignatureDetailing in Hillsborough
$1700 for Full Hood, Full Fenders, Bumper, Lights (including fogs), side mirrors and center console (vinyl wrap or film) - Suntek Ultra 10yr Warranty
Leeberbs in Hillsborough
$1750 for the same as above except center console in film (no vinyl wrap) - Xpel Ultimate Plus..this is the newest 10mm product. They also do tinting.
Both get 5* and the they actually worked together until leeberbs started his own place. I decided to go with SignatureDetailing due to the purely clear and shine with Suntek Ultra and the hydrophobic properties...it’s probably all BS but whatever. Also he’s done at least over 50 Teslas.

Three days sounds about right, and this is a job you don’t need rushed. Also if you go look in the back, there’s about 5 or 6 other cars being done at the same time. Also, how long did it take to do it?? The shop said 3 days to do the front end... Seems like a LONG time!
That’s a good priceI was quoted $5500 for full stealth in Cleveland. I was hoping to get a couple quotes, but so far I have only one shop that has gotten back to me.
I'm on Long Island as well. Did you receive a front-only quote? Which shop did you pick?I'm doing a full stealth Xpel wrap plus ceramic coating for $7k on Long Island, NY for my new Model Y Performance. They also do a paint correction prior to applying the wrap. Comes with a 10-year warranty.
The prices out there are rather odd. Did the entire front myself not fun but really not all that crazy hard. Just odd that they would consider the hood a higher value on this car. Anyone could do the hood on this car virtually with their eyes closed? It’s almost a flat surface compared to other cars I have done which are way more contoured with edges. The hood took me no more then 15 minutes with edge folding in my garage. Just need to take your time and follow the basic instructions.
You got both fenders in full, bumper, hood mirrors for $367?!? How and where??I did the full front for $367. I can't believe people spend so much. The bumper was difficult but you are right the hood is easy.
People spend more for PPF then if would cost to replace the hood or bumper painted from tesla.
