PPF on new Model 3? Are these prices reasonable?

Hey everyone,

Picking up my model 3 in 2 weeks and considering using PPF on the front of the car. This would cover:

• disinfectant foam bath, iron chemical removal, clay bar
• front bumper
• hood
• fenders
• mirrors
• headlights

Got two quotes. One company uses XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS and charges $3000.00 + tax. They said they would also PPF the trunk to avoid scratches for free.

The second quote was a cash quote for $1800.00 which includes the above also but without the trunk PPF. This company uses Kavaca Self Healing.

I don’t know anything about either of these PPFs. Can anyone offer some guidance on pricing, is it worth it, are you familiar with the two of these options? Seems like a big price difference.

PPF and tint prices vary widely regionally. XPEL is reputable. Other one never heard of. Best bet is to get multiple quotes and do a lot of research before deciding. Skill of installer is more important that the brand of PPF imho.
