Pre-$5K hike Model S LR reservation, best way to transfer/sell after delivery ?

I wrote an email to his advisor and copied him, then spoke on the phone to them. At first they didn't know how to do it, but then it was transfered to my account via switching emails and then registration was easily changed. Wish I could say more details but on my end that's all I know. If the sales advisors tells you to email some other department, then they don't know how to do it and try to go in person to speed up the process or find someone who knows at that sales store.

California has a 10-day exemption from sales/use tax if you buy a car and sell it within 10 days.

Just came across this post. My understanding is that this is only applicable to a leased vehicle + buyout. Is it also applicable to new vehicle purchases? I mean one first pays to Tesla for getting a new car, registers the car under his name, transfers the title to another person, and then gets the sales tax refunded.
