pre-order tri-motor cybertruck now or wait until release?

If i pay deposit and pre-oder tri-motor cyber truck now, would it make much difference to be ahead of line to buy the tri-motor model? Trying to debate if I should pay deposit now or wait until final release date is reveal.

If a $100 refundable deposit is over your head, you probably shouldn't to buy the truck.

Based on the model Y and 3 release, they will build the higher end variants first so it would make sense to order that version sooner than later. Although with the Y, it didn't seem to make a difference when people placed the order, Day 1 orders have still not been filled, while others waiting less than 30 days from order to delivery.
