Pre-Production Notification

So I was told today by the delivery manager that I have a car in pre-production. Does anyone know exactly what that means? We are at the end of the 2-4 week window from the text blast at the beginning of the month so I'm certain I won't have it before the end of the month, but curious what the timeline now is for it. I don't have a VIN. Not sure what pre-production exactly is. My order is a black/black LR, induction rims, FSD, ordered end of this past Feb.

Pre-production means the car isn’t made yet and hasn’t started production. I was told mine was in pre-production for a month until I was told I had received a ghost vin. Had to get unassigned and wait for a new one.
Hopefully it is not your case.
