Premier stations repeating rather than random or remembering last played song

My wife and I have different music tastes. When I am in the car, I listen to certain premier "stations". When my wife gets in, she changes it to something else. When I go back to the station I was listening to, it restarts the same songs in the same order. Is there any way to cause the stations to play randomly or to resume where it left off? This makes it very unattractive as a paid subscriptions service.
