To be fair there never was 'plaid' only 'Maximum Plaid'. As Rick Moranis can attest, a helmet is no protection against 'Maximum Plaid' but seat belts seem to be effective. President Skroob himself may not have had all the details. Frankly, I suspect the truth of this was only known to Mel Brooks.

I bet in Maximum Plaid mode that the driver and passengers will see actual lines like when the Enterprise goes into warp drive.

I really can't see how anyone can continue to compare Tesla to any other automaker with goals like this.

As an owner with multiple drive unit replacements, I look forward to Tesla achieving this goal as quickly as possible.

Indeed. Talk is cheap. Elon likes making a lot of attention grabbing soundbites.

Let's hope they can take baby steps or adult-sized steps so that we stop seeing DU replacements before say 150K or 200K miles. Currently, they appear to be *VERY* far from that goal.
