Price Adjustment for Pending Projects?

$3.49 to $2.85 is almost 20%. Pretty decent and competitive to the local offering around Los Angeles.

On the Tesla Motors Energy products forum someone just posted that Tesla have recently reduced their prices (not sure if that's for the Powerwall 2 or solar) and that they are now installing without a separate gateway, it now being integrated into the 'load centre', whatever that is. Anyone know anything about that?
In the UK, Tesla website price is £6200 plus tax for a Powerwall 2 and £1700 plus tax for the Gateway 2 (backup gateway). That hasn't changed for 2-3 months, since the introduction of the more expensive Gateway 2.

My system was officially turned on yesterday (hurray!). After reading that at least one person had obtained a discount, I called Tesla Customer Service and was politely told "no". There was a cut-off date, if your panels were physically placed on the roof before the date of the price reduction announcement, (like mine). no price adjustment. I got what I paid for, so it is hard to complain, and it feels great to be generating so much electricity rather than buying it from the utility.
I asked and they sent an updated contract, but the price reduction was for the Powerwalls. The price dropped from $6,700 to $5,900 each, the gateway was cheaper and (oddly) the installation cost went down. Total savings of $4,250 for 3 powerwalls.

How did you get them to lower the cost of the powerwall? Mine is still $6700 and I ordered about 20 days ago.
I just emailed my contact and asked for a price adjustment. I didn't get the one I was expecting, but it saved me a few ducats. I wonder if there are any price variances by state.

I had mine installed just before they lowered the price of the panels. My whole system including PW2, was $43k. I emailed my advisor and asked if they could lower the price, but since I was in contract, they wouldn't. They WOULD, however, send me a check for $6652 as a rebate
