Took my Model X delivery on June 29. The current price is $6010 less than what I paid three weeks ago! Love the car. Not happy with the price fluctuation.

Mine was off by a few thousand more than yours... the same configuration, 10 days after delivery. I am not happy about that either. I love my X and have no regrets around the purchase. I don't feel swindled by Tesla. I have simply added another 10k to my first-year depreciation...it is what it is.

That said, Tesla could manage this better and I believe they only will if folks speak up about it. So I'm doing my part.

First, I think they should sort out a strategy around paint options. When I ordered, black was the base option and white was a multi-coat $2k upgrade. I assumed that must have meant Black was the least expensive paint, the grey and blue colors added metallic and cost $1500 more, white was multi-coat so 2k and red with even more coats of paint at 2.5k. With the new pricing, they have made the multi-coat white the base color and now black and other colors are an upgrade. This makes me think this is all just an upgrade strategy and not based on anything real.

Second, there is no doubt battery technology and technology in general for these cars will become less and less expensive in the near future. There will also be competition so Tesla will have to pass along lower prices. This makes complete sense to me. Tesla could soften this blow for customers who recently purchased with a proactive offer for FSD upgrade, free supercharging, discount on LM, etc. Since most of these things do not amount to hard cost for Tesla this would be sustainable and at the same time increase customer loyalty.

Just my $.02

You should have paid 101,500 for that car? Are you including destination? 89,500 + 1500 silver + 1500 cream + 3000 7 seats + 6000 fsd

Destination is not included in the $96,900 current pricing

Nor the extra $1875 in tax credit

I am getting a $2725 difference when you take the additional tax credit into account

I was comparing apple to apple. $103,000 doesn't include destination fee. l actually paid $104,200 including destination fee. So it was 88,000 long range + 1500 silver + 1500 cream + 3000 7 seats + 3000 autopilot + 6000 fsd = 103,000

Curious when you ordered? I thought basic autopilot was included in MSRP since sometime in April

Hopefully someone that ordered around that time can chime in with their pricing but I am finding a date of April 12th when the switch was made to basic autopilot being standard (included) in msrp. You might be owed $3000

You are right. The autopilot was included. My original order was 83,000 MX + 10,000 Long Range + 1,500 silver + 1,500 cream + 3,000 7 seats + 5,000 FSD = 104,000. While I was waiting for the delivery, Tesla lowered the price for MX by $2,000 but increased FSD by $1,000. So the total for me is $103,000.

BTW, did everyone receive the window sticker when Tesla delivered your car? I didn't. I am wondering if the detailing guys misplaced it.

Check the glove compartment. That is where mine was. Still is

I did. Mine was on the dash.

Mine was in the glove box.
