While I can empathize with the frustration and I would no doubt be pissed if I took delivery in the last few weeks...this is really an extremely common practice in the auto industry. Tesla just doesn't hide it.
At Tesla, there are no discounts on price, and no dealer markup. All price adjustments due to supply/demand are reflected in an ever-changing msrp..
Ouch man! Id buy you a beer or two, but bars are closed again around here.Unbelievable...ordered our MY in February, which was after the $1000 price increase. Finally took delivery on July 2nd. My 7-day return period just ended three days ago and the Tesla decides to drop the price $3000 right afterwards. Feels like a $4000 slap in the face. SMH
I agree that price adjustments are common in the auto industry but would argue that Tesla actually "hides" it more by adjusting MSRPs instead of showing price reductions via rebates.
Also, there are indeed discounts at Tesla on new and demo inventory cars as well as special offers that come and go especially at month or quarter end periods..
How about offering FSD for $5000 to initial buyers who took delivery before price cut. Wouldn’t cost Tesla anything and could possibly even bring in additional revenue besides showing some good will to early supporters.I am surprised no one started a change.org petition
Lots of us already bought it, so do we just get $3k back? How about offering FSD for $5000 to initial buyers who took delivery before price cut. Wouldn’t cost Tesla anything and could possibly even bring in additional revenue besides showing some good will to early supporters.
Amazing how many idiots are employed by Tesla, then again QC is not the only place they’re trying to cut cost.My advisor told me since I placed my order June 4th (still no vin) that I wouldn't qualify for it.. I directed her to this thread..
Probably couldn’t keep everybody happy...maybe a refund with a back date time limit?.Lots of us already bought it, so do we just get $3k back?
That would be great PR, for those that already got FSD offer up $3000 worth of supercharger miles. How about offering FSD for $5000 to initial buyers who took delivery before price cut. I missed out by two weeks geez
That’s exactly what i did. I was off by one day, returned it and ordered under my husbands name. Worth the hassle in my opinion, less than 1 hour to make $3000?Can't you have the car be ordered under a significant other's name?
I am waiting to buy FSD later for $8k, hoping to save on the sales tax?
I ordered in September. So for me with the exact same build, I would save $10. However, it did allow me to add a referral. So I re-ordered, saved $10 and got 1000 free supercharger miles.Anybody in a similar situation that was still able to take advantage of the price decrease?
