Price is up in Europe 5000€, 5000CHF for S & X since today

Delivery of S & X to Europe is always the last month of the quarter. Right now there is delivery in December, and next time cars are produced and shipped to Europe for final assembly will be in March. There is good statistics confirming this.

Also, there is no available S & X inventory cars available in Norway right now.
Nah, they usually get deliveries late oct/nov for end of quarter. They had none this year. That is very unusual.

I've ordered my Model X october 20th in Belgium and they told me that delivery was still for december. I've checked last week with my salesrep and he told me that delivery is now scheduled for somewhere around christmas. I still don't have any official update in my account (no VIN or delivery date showing up) but they told me that a car was allready assigned to my account. They also couldn't tell me what vessel my car was on so I'm guessing it will be on the last vessel that is coming to Europe that is leaving now monday 30th of november and arrive on the 14th of december. That's still around 11 days to get it reassembled in Tilburg and transported to Belgium for delivery. But that's just some personal guessing. But I'm going to call Tesla by the end of next week for a update if my account still doesn't show any update. We'll see. But waiting is always the hardest part.

I saw a article today explaining that the price raise in Europe is because of the updated range but that's something that I can't believe as the range was allready updated before on their website before the price range. So I guess we will hear soon what this price range is really all about ...

Ordered end of september in Belgium, got my VIN earlier this week. Delivery scheduled for next monday 30 november. Price increase was due to higher raw materials pricings they told me at the store. No difference in HW. Though it still isn't clear to me what's the difference between the long range I ordered in september and the long range plus they offer now. I do have a MY2021 according to my VIN.

Model S & X are made in USA. Could simply be that tariffs have changed for some of the import items in production or going into your region. Hard to tell what is going on, but good news for those who have ordered at a lower price and are awaiting delivery this year.

You mean X. No Y in Europe so far.

In Switzerland, one has quite a choice, if in the need of a 2020 delivery. All cars with rebate 5000 (so old price), if you order from 'in .ch stock' or 'on transport'. Delivery in Dec2020, or within a week or 2 if you chose an available car that is here already.

I had one on order, old price, but jumped off. Now I can chose in between:
- Take delivery within a few weeks (or days) and getting the old price, 0.99 leasing, 5000km SuC, and an extra rebate if the car's been driven.
- Or order custom made, delivery March 2021 earliest, +5000 and without the goodies.

I am about to do the latter ...

In my case, the stock car has the same configuration like a new order, so I’m on option Dec. One of the first native LR+ with H battery.

Are you sure about that? Registration statistics for Norway here: Tesla Registration Stats - Quarterly deliveries.
Also I have an X for delivery 16.desember. Have been following it from factory to Norway via VedaPrime tracking. One cargo ship with S & S arrives in Europe every week.

In any case in Belgium, the Xs are selling very very well, especially due to the very interesting tax deductions. E ven if we look at the available tesla which are in transit and which appear as soon as the boat has left the American port, the X leave directly in 1 -2 days, followed by the S and the last 3.

It would be interesting to see the current delivery time for the United States or Canada.

3-5 weeks on new model x in USA. Source: www.tesla.com

I had a LR+ that was due to be delivered Dec 1-7th in the US. I've already got a 2016 Model X (although it has AP1 and MCU1 so not all the fancy goodies that my new one will have eventually). Since I'm in no dire need of the car, I called my delivery specialist and had them delay my order. My VIN has been dissociated with my account and order, and I just need to call them when I'm ready to "activate" my order again. I get to keep my same pricing (including the old FSD pricing) as well as my cash. Maybe I'll buy some more TSLA stock in see what happens when deliveries start happening in 2021.

MY = model year, in this case I think.

Very interesting and thanks for sharing! Was the LR+ you were about to take delivery of a 2020 or 2021?

I am on the fence with a current order as well except that I am matched to a 2020 VIN that was pre-new H battery. I was holding out to see if a newer 2020 might pop-up in inventory, but thus far no luck. Curious that if I were to request for my SA to unmatch my VIN and delay my order, if I'd be able to keep my same pricing as well?

Think it would be unlikely for them to come across a newer H-battery 2020 (unless someone refused an order or maybe a demo car) so, only option would probably be a 2021 at that point.

If you really want to get the current price, you're taking a chance. If the rumors about new S's and X's in the first quarter of 2021 turn out to be true (which might not happen), the new ones will probably have a different trim line name (like the change from LR to LR Plus) and new prices. Tesla cannot use the old trim line names for revised cars unless the EPA numbers are identical which is unlikely. So they told you you could keep the price, but if that car is no longer available it's moot.

There have been rumors about refreshed S's (and X's) for a long time that never turned out to be true. Despite indications that it will really happen this time, it's still conjecture and reports that may turn it to be false, in which case I believe you'll get your X later at the current price.

Honestly I'm not 100% sure. My VIN was matched in the middle of November after people had begun getting H-battery pack deliveries and there was no inventory Model X available in my region, so I just assumed it was a "2021" with an H battery pack.

Devil's advocate: If I were to send you a picture of a "2016 Model S 75D" would you be able to tell me if it had a nose cone or a the current "refreshed fascia" that the Model S has? People who placed an order for "Nose cone Model S 75D" certainly received deliveries when a different fascia on the front that was newer. Tesla has played all kinds of games before. 75 kilowatt hour batteries software locked to 60 kilowatt hours. With the early Model X, some early Long Range Model Xs got the Performance Model X power tilting spoiler while others didn't. For 6 months this year, Model 3 purchasers didn't get power tilting mirrors. dWill was just posting that he had an order in about the same time as me and he was getting an older battery. They just updated the Model S EPA range the other day by like 3 miles for their Long Range Plus variant. They very rarely update the trim names these days. They used to be very specific about battery pack size in trim names, but now are very generic and now just sell "Long Range Plus" and "Performance" and badge them even less. This is probably better for us for resale. :)

I guess the bottom line is when you put in an order for a car, your invoice lists the high level things that you select on their website. I'm pretty sure the "Model Year" isn't even listed on the invoice. If they do somehow refresh the interior or exterior in the next couple months, there's nothing that says they won't still call the models the "Long Range Plus" and the "Performance". We still haven't heard anything about a "Plaid" Model X. Having said that, I totally know that there's plenty of risk. IF they actually change something in the next few months, there's still the chance that I may want to change things (which would incur a change fee and pricing changes) or I won't like what they change. (Maybe they ditch the Falcon Wing Doors or the Auto Presenting Front Doors... maybe they go to only one center screen). I could end up reaching the limit of how long you can keep your VIN unmatched for and either have to eat my deposit or just have to go with whatever is available at that point.

The reason I did what I did was because about 3 months after I bought my first X, the AP2 hardware came out, which really has limited what my car can do. If I had waited 3 months, I would have been able to upgrade to hardware 3 and MCU2 eventually without even having to buy a new car. There's a lot of nice improvements that the Raven Model X brought as well, which I'm looking forward to. But I have a Model X that is under warranty still and is working brilliantly. I'm also not driving too much right now, because you know, there's a pandemic and I mostly stay at home. This time, I figure I would wait a few more months on the off chance they finally do that refresh that I've been waiting 2-3 years for.

And how did the delivery go ? Was everything as expected ?

Delivery was unpersonal, but that's due to the Covid-crisis. I'm sure they would love to do it differently but are obliged to do it this way. There are some paint-issues, a few minor scratches and one piece of rubber which isn't attached as it should be, but not too big of worries. Allthough I would prefer to pick it up a few days later but without all these minor flaws. Will go to Tilburg next week to get it fixed.

Ok, thanks for the info. Sorry to hear about the issues and I hope its getting fixed soon.
