Today, we updated the base price of Model Y and select vehicle options in New Zealand, making the path to Tesla ownership more affordable.

We are pleased to advise that your order is eligible for the updated pricing, your Motor Vehicle Order Agreement and Final Invoice will reflect this change accordingly in the coming days; no further action is required.

Yep, model 3 got cheaper too (by $4k), and wheels and red paint also cheaper for the 3 but model 3 long range seems to be deleted, RWD or Performance only.

I got the same email. The updated order agreement showed a price reduction of $300 for my Model Y. LOL. Hardly in the same ballpark as the Model 3. Hopefully that's a mistake and it's actually a little more substantial.

The Model Y was already very cheap here. It probably should have received a price increase when they increased the price in Australia 2 weeks after launch but it seems they decided to "take the hit" in NZ to keep it under the $80k rebate limit. I was surprised the Y even had a reduction!

Price increases and decreases all the time. I paid for my LR at the absolute peak in NZ ($94,532) and within months it had dropped about $10k. It sucks but that's life.

If you have already paid, unlucky but move on. Definitely don't have a whinge and protest like some overseas buyers.
