Resale prices of the carts have since edged up to around $HK2.2 million.

By comparison, the on-the-road price of a new Mercedes Benz S500 is around $HK1.9 million, while a Lexus LS600 hybrid is $HK1.7 million and a BMW 7 series is $HK1.8 million.

That is US$228,000 for an electric golf cart.

Tesla Roadster is around $HK1.1million. And they say the Roadster is an expensive golfcart!
