amazing how this system/scheme is so terribly designed and implemented...in silicon valley of all places. Should be dead simple and intuitive.

The idea of toll express lanes on public roads is all around terrible. Waste of everyone's time and/or money just to further disadvantage those without the means to afford it.

Anyone with a non windshield install location? Say the glass roof? I have windshield tint and prefer not to stick stuff on it.

Tesla's have a metal oxide windshield and prevents the transponder from being picked up. See the specific note and vehicle list from the FastTrak site here for more details:

weird how it works for some though. I have a front windshield tint (xpel xr ceramic), i think that should be OK as it's not "metallic?" Havent installed fastrak yet

Sorry to sidetrack, but can someone explain the commuter lane rules for solo drivers in EVs? Do I need that ugly sticker on my rear bumper? And now I have to get a CAV FasTrack sensor in addition to the old square one I already have?

Newbie to fastrak. I have the cav device and mounted behind the display on the flat spot. I’ve never used it for tolls but do I just set to one passenger for me driving solo and just cruise through the fastrak lanes? Is there any confirmation that it worked?
