Proper way to install car seat

Just picked up our refresh MX 6 seater yesterday. Trying to hook up the tether for the car seat on the captain chair but not sure which is the correct way and which shoulder to go over?

In this video, the guy went through the side:

But the first comment said it's wrong and should have gone over the top, seatbelt side. But then when you have a side crash, don't you want to have it pull the car seat inward (meaning it should go over the inside shoulder)?

It's in the owner's manual, about 3/4 of the way down on single tethers, the manual says to put it on the out board.
