Protecting against curb rash

How well do the ultrasonic sensors work to detect and report the distance to curbs? Since Tesla has decided not to to grace us with 360 degree birds-eye cameras, do the sensors give us enough information to avoid scraping on curbs? My current car's ultrasonic sensors are useless for detecting curbs, but has 360 degree birds-eye cameras.

RimPro-Tec Wheel Bands seems to be highly recommended for the Model 3. Do Model X owners also recommend them? I have a red Model X with silver 20" wheels on order and am wondering if Wheel Bands work well with those wheels, and are desirable?

it is annoying we don't have 360 surround, but in the meantime, i rely on the tilt down mirrors in reverse. only way to really see the curb. i personally don't like the look of those wheel bands.

Agree with wamochi!

You can put the car in reverse, program the mirrors to look down at the wheels and save to your profile. Rims still looking good after 4 months for me.
