Well, looks like that soccer ball had two rocks embedded in it.

It looks like the "object" hit the window right above the 3rd brake light. Maybe that had something to do with the glass cracking.

Setting aside the fact that I witnessed the impact with my own eyes, let's pretend two rocks managed to hit the rear of a parked car in the exact same spot, with no evidence of any strikes in other locations, then vanished.

Or, if you prefer, let's pretend these same two rocks managed to strike the same spot while on the highway, approaching from the rear at 90 mph.

If you believe either of these, did you also know your picture is in the dictionary, under "gullible?"

wonder if this was a freak accident, or your glass was already under stress due to improper install, or this is going to be a common thing with Model 3...

I'm hoping not the later, because I imagine that is not a cheap piece of glass to repair...

Sorry to see that. I hope your specific car had an issue that made the glass weaker. That said, I generally try to park far away from places where my car can get hit balls.
