So the electrician suggested I reach out to Chargepoint to see if they would replace my unit under warranty due to the melted plug. I wasn't expecting much, but turns out they are sending a brand new CP Home Flex! They didn't even ask for any photos, straight up approved my request after my phone call. Good thing, because my current unit is now dead (just makes clicking noises when trying to charge). Evidently something got jacked up when the outlet overheated. Also put in an order for a 14-50 adapter as having the UMC as a backup 240v charging option is always good.
