Would you share how much that custom blueberry wrap cost? It's stunning; love the color! Tesla wanted you to remove it before trading it in?

It looks a lot better from pictures then up close. Up close, there were a few streaks and you did see some orange peel. Autoflex is a relatively new technology and is a more commercial and professional application than Plastidip. There are very few installers and the ones out there, you have to make sure they do good work. My installer told me the newer autoflex paints are even better. It cost me $2,500(I am NY, so it tends to be more expensive) to do the car and rims, so it's cheaper than most good vinyl products. I would not recommend doing the wheels as every time a wheel comes off, it ruins the autoflex coating and peels a little. I would powder coat rims instead. I am not sure if I will ever wrap a car again in Autoflex or even Vinyl. When there is damage to the wrap such as a big rock chip or door ding (I had both), the entire panel has to be replaced. This requires you to bring it to the shop and leave it there 1-2 days. This time, I am electing for Xpel for the front and Ceramic Pro Silver all the around to keep it clean. Unfortunately, Tesla's color choices are awful but at least with the Multi-Coat Red, It's something eye catching and I've never had it before. I am already bored of the Midnight SIlver Metallic back on my car and it hasn't been 1 day yet LOL I do like their factory blue, but I just had the blue wrap, so time for a change. I would have actually went with White since I never had that color, but there is barely any 2019 SR models in Inventory to choose from.

The Tesla Trade in process has been a mess. I sent them pictures with my wrap on and they deducted $1,500 off because the wheels weren't factory color. They didn't even notice the fact the entire car was wrapped(I think they thought it was factory blue). I came clean and told them the whole car was wrapped and they told me to remove the wrap to get the $1,500 trade in offer upped. I spent 5 hours and $200 last night at my installer who removed it. I spent almost 2 hours doing the wheels myself. The more you mod your car, the more work it is to sell or trade in :(

Picked up my 2019 SR Model S yesterday. Delivery was not smooth and it was a long day. Got there at 12 and noticed immediately the rear driver 21" rim had curb rash. They offered to give me a new rim and a new tire since it had a cut in it. Also, there was white marks all over the hood and car, which appeared to be wax. It was hard for me to decipher what was wax vs a scratch, so they ended up cleaning the car up. This took over 90 minutes. Then, they couldn't find the second set of keys, so they had to duplicate a set which took another 30 minutes. I was there over 30 minutes. I get home and realize they NO LONGER include a 14-50 adapter and none of my 110v outlets would charge. The delivery specialists should have mentioned this to me, especially knowing I was a previous Tesla owner. Luckily my friend had a spare, so I am borrowing his until they have them in stock to order my own.

Putting all that aside, the car drives amazing and definitely feels nicer than my 2015. Seats and interior feel more luxurious, smoother, quieter ride, Bluetooth speaker sounds crisper, USB ports in back, Sentry Mode, Dashcam, SiriusXM, latest software with text messaging integration. I didn't get FSD yet and that has now cost me AP Lane changes and Summon which are two things I used a lot with my 2015. I already curbed one of the 21' twin turbine rims on my narrow driveway and I was planning on getting 19"'s for this very reason.

Tints, Chrome Delete, Ceramic Pro and Xpel on Front going in next week and then eventually, I will get my calipars wrapped in Vinyl yellow for that red-yellow Ferrari look :)
