Purchase and retrofit new graphite trim in older models?

Do you think Tesla would sell me just the graphite trim pieces? I think they look a lot cleaner than the silver.

Are they easily retrofittable?

The top dash piece would be the most difficult. I think it is glued on but don’t quote me on that.

My service center has them available for order but I live in a right to repair state. YMMV.

Seem like Tesla could sell you the part, but it might be expensive.
BTW the top dash piece is not glued. It can be swapped out completely.

Another cost-effective option is to wrap the one you have with vinyl,
I just covered my ash wood panels with 3M "carbon fiber" vinyl pattern. Looks great!

It it just some work to remove all the pieces as you need to disassemble other panels first.
Not everybody is comfortable doing this

The top horizontal piece is attached to the top dash, so you'd need that whole piece. You might be better off getting someone to wrap it. 3M makes a nice dark brushed stainless.

I'm thrilled with my graphite trim on carbon fiber. I'm even happier that Tesla added the carbon fiber trim literally days before my car got made, and let me adjust my order online.
