Purple spots showing on rear camera display.

I have strange purple spots showing up on the rear camera display. The interesting thing is when looking at the camera in live view there is only one spot but if you look at a sentry mode video or the camera view via the phone app there are several spots. I have a service appointment the end of February.

I've had smaller purple spots on older security cameras that indicated that the image sensor was starting to fail. I wonder if it's something similar going on here?

I believe they are going to replace the camera. Waiting for parts to make my SC appointment.

I had to reschedule my appointment, waiting for the new part. My service appointment is now Saturday the 19th.

I had these purple splotches on my rear camera also. Was noted as defective camera sensor and replaced by service center.

I got purple/magenta spots on my backup camera on my 2021 model Y.
These spots appeared after the first snow & salt cycle of the winter in NJ.

They replaced my camera

The mobile service tech replaced the backup camera on my 2021 model Y today - warranty work !
