its a copy of the original Tesla lettering -- In the beginning the Model S was labeled P for performance - a number which designated battery type etc etc. So -- the dolts that sell Chinese garbage on the web - came out with this lettering for people that want to - somehow - delineate-identify their model Y - somehow - pointing to the past. Hence - it exists in fantasy - its not a valid badge. see attached..

I believe the P85+ badge is actually a legit badge. It was limited edition model in the early years. Sport trim, big rear motor, flaring rear fenders and staggered wheels. And a hefty boost in HP from the old 85.

What do those letter mean? I get Performance Y. But what does D+ mean, Distance Plus maybe?

Tesla Model Letters

Thanks!
Since nobody has answered your questions so far, it’s an aftermarket badge that some Model 3 and Model Y owners put in their car to further spell out which trim they have

P - Performance Model
3/Y - Car Model
D - Dual Motor
+/- - + signifies the performance upgrade package is equipped (red calipers, CF spoiler, lowered suspension) whereas the - represents the performance models without the performance upgrade package.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for clarification on this hidden Tesla mystery.
