Question about delay

I saw today that it says estimated delivery between june 17th and 30th for my blue Y order. I do not want the car till september but ordered it because its aid upto 12 weeks delivery. What is the process to delay it? I do not see any vin number assigned yet.

Call your delivery center, ask to speak to an SA to put your order in hold. Has to be done over the phone or in person as far as I know.

If you have an SA working with you already u can also try emailing him.

Thanks . If i do that and tesla increases the price... will they update my price?

I don't think so. I tried that once back in 2018. I ordered an M3P and had it my SA noted it as "do not assign Vin until customer is ready" or something like that. He said doing so I could lock in the price.

i also read from other posts here that it does lock in the price for you (so you are safe from increases and if prices go down u get the benefit too).

however if you are speaking to or emailing a SA anyway I would check with them again to confirm. I'd say 75% of the SAs are very helpful.
