Question about using jack pads

I recently purchased reverse logic jack pads.

I am getting new snow tires this week. I will use the same wheels but just swap out the stock tires with winter tires.

Should I just give the tire shop jack pads and ask them to use it?
Should I add the jack pad on my own? I assuming that I have to install the pads at the tire shop and I cannot add them at home and drive to the tire shop.

I bought the tires from tire rack and they were shipped to the tireshop. I called them and confirmed that they work with Tesla's.

For my Model 3, I handed my jack pads to the service rep at Discount Tire, along with a photo copy of the proper lifting procedure from the owners manual.
It turns out that he had just received a set of pads from Amazon and had researched the lifting procedure.
But with no guarantee that your tire store is up to speed, I would recommend handing them the pads and instructions.
