Question - Model X in Motor Trend Car of the Year

Does Model X get to participate in the Motor Trend Car of the Year for 2016, which I believe gets announced in mid Nov 2015.

Does anyone know the timeline? By when does the car need to be in their possession for testing.

Also, do they buy cars anonymously (like Consumer Reports does) or can Tesla expedite a delivery for them?

If the issue comes out next month, they did story 3+ months ago. So, no Model X to play with. Next year.

Motor Trend has three awards Car, Truck ,and SUV of the Year Awards.

Model X qualifies for SUV category which includes CUVs.

Yeah, I was wondering if X will get evaluated for 2016 awards or 2017.

Given the timeline looks like X will not be able to make it for 2016 awards.
