Question on 2,500 deposit

So, before we finalize the car, we have to pay the 2,500. Got it. But, do you get refunded that money once you get the car? Or are you basically adding an extra 2,500 to your Model S?

It is applied against your purchase price, you eventually pay the balance.

It goes toward the purchase of the car. Don't worry, the MVPA that you sign, which makes the deposit non-refundable, itemizes everything and make it abundantly clear.

Also note it used to be 5,000 -- not very long ago. (And 40,000 for Sig.)

And for the Roadster, I put down a $10k deposit...and they called me the next morning asking for a check for the rest before they would start building it.

People before me put half down a couple years early, and the rest before Tesla started building. It's nice that Tesla finally has good cash flow and doesn't have to ask for that.
