Questions for those with heated steering wheel

I believe all model Y's from the beginning of time have no seam. Model 3 has the seam.

This is correct. it was just confusing because on the Model Y page on their website they used an interior pic with a steering wheel that did have a seam

I notice that the heated steering wheel doesn't stay evenly heated. Some cold spots, some hot spots and will cycle on and off. Is that how it's supposed to be?

On my previous vehicle, the steering wheel stayed pretty evenly heated for the duration of however long I was driving it.
