Questions on controlling interior lighting

I bought the BASENOR lighting kit but realized that it's totally manually controlled. You have to remember to turn it off and on since it's plugged into the cigarette lighter. Is there any wire I can tap that will start/stop the lights with the car?

There are some threads dealing with accessories running only when the car is on,
by taping a wire, however one issue is that the wire to use varies with the version (year/month).

By using the 12 V auxiliary plug, your lighting will stays on for about 5 minutes after locking the car,
but will stays on if you are using Sentry, and every time you check your car remotely.

I liked the idea to add some lighting for the rear passengers,
using a harness connected to the front, see below video,
but the system will stay on only few minutes after you enter inside the car, and will quickly dims:
