Questions regarding PPF and Tints

I did the whole car on our MY (all the painted surfaces) with Xpel Ultimate. I personally like 3M pro, but Xpel seemed easier to install. PPF should not be compared with painting, IMHO. Painting is usually done to restore a damaged paint to a new condition while PPF is for keeping the painted surfaces prestine for daily enjoyment. If you are okay with seeing paint chips and scratches on your car accumulate until it gets so bad that it needs repainting, then the repainting route might be right for you. But if you want a pristine looking paint on your car all the time, then PPF is the best way to achieve that, I think. Although I also have a 20yo car with very good original paint so PPF might not be necessary.
