Any pros/cons to the black finish? I don't know much about the option.

I imagine that’s fresh after install. The surface will get scrubbed after first drive. The black coating will help keep the hats from rusting/discoloring longer.
How much were the rotors OP?

$450 for the rotors and pads

    pros
no rust on hat and hubs with the zinc coating
    ceramic pads is low dust

    cons
squeaks on the first drive until all the pads are embedded
    and black coating scrubs off
