R1A or R1B(TOU) rates LADWP

So I got my MYLR for 2 weeks now. So far, I have been charging on 110V on our garage ( I drive ~50miles/day) and it is working perfectly fine for me. I only charge when I get home during weekdays (6pm-6am) and weekends

I have LADWP R1A rates (Tier based) and my bi-monthly bill is usually under Tier 1. Highest bill is during summer where I get billed halfway thru Tier 2. Mostly because of AC and how hot it gets in the SFV during the summer.

My question is does it make sense for me to switch to R1B/TOU rates since I only charge during low/base period? There is always someone in the house so electricity will still be running most of the day, no major appliances will be running during peak hours though except for fridge. So I am not sure if TOU is actually going to save me some money. Opinions? 😄
