    Silent Spring has been on my must read list for an embarrassing amount of time. I caught a 2hr special on PBS.

    Rachel Carson is widely credited for elevating environmental issues and creating the political inertia necessary for the founding of the EPA. I found the documentary unexpectedly powerful and incredibly poignant given our current state of affairs :(

    One quote stuck in my mind from Naomi Klein. 'Silent Spring' wasn't a science book. I was a science communication book. We desperately need more science communication....

    I watched it as well. Quite good.
    She was ahead of her time.
