My personal story about the legendary Japanese racing team Taisan. We just finished 1st place in Japan’s premier EV Grand Prix race! Unplugged suspension and brakes were on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place cars! - Ben Schaffer
I love Japan and Japanese car racing so it was a dream come true to partner with the most legendary Japanese racing team ever. Taisan. Back in 1999 I watched their JGTC cars lap Fuji Speedway during my time studying in Tokyo (my biz partner Avi was there with me). 21 years later Taisan reached out to us and Unplugged Performance joined them for EV racing. The renamed team "Taisan UP" was born earlier this year as a result. Taisan's owner Chiba-san had 86 racing wins and told me his life's goal is to have 100 wins. I'm happy to say our first event together with Team Taisan UP Tesla resulted in a 1st place win. Win 87 for Chiba-San! I'm also happy to report the first, second and third place Tesla's all were using Unplugged Performance coilovers, suspension arms, sway bars and brakes (technically the Model S used our adjustable factory air suspension compatible shocks). I feel really happy to work with my idols and to advance the EV movement around the world with Unplugged Performance.
