No call no show so I reached out to learn that the 3 is still in Charlotte. The original United Road tracker showed it in Raleigh but this info has been updated also to show Charlotte (changed over the last few days). Their Vegas team was apologetic and has been very accessible and helpful throughout.Completed all Tesla and CU docs today, got the call that home delivery would proceed as planned for today. New 19" T-Sportline TST wheels were also delivered today. Now waiting on the 3.
One more update... so now I've got the "real" MVPA with VIN back, and FSD added.
But my delivery date has changed from today in charlotte at 4pm (which is obviously gone and the IDA said was "just so we can get you on the home delivery schedule) to....
Estimated delivery
Sept.'18 - Nov.'18
Like it had been before I ever heard from an IDA.
WTH?
I just received a text from Tesla at 11 pm tonight about delivery lol what the whatSelf-update... since my IDA has been MIA since about when I paid for the new car and traded in the old one last week... and my tesla.com delivery date over the weekend came and went with no delivery... I tried calling the regular 888 number which appears to be utterly useless... the rep couldn't say where my car actually was, nor do literally anything other than claim she would "contact the delivery department" and have them call me back.
Which of course never happened.
Thankfully another user gave me a # to call for delivery specifically (888-771-2505)
So after 58 minutes on hold...right before I was going to hang up...a lovely woman answered, was super friendly, and FINALLY provided some actual information.
She said the car was still in transit but would be ready for pickup on September 30th. Which would make it 40 days to get from CA to NC.
She then offered to schedule pickup for me in Raleigh (so either they're back to doing actual in person delivery or she never got the memo NC has switched to home-delivery only a few weeks ago)- so in theory I'm now scheduled to pick up in Raleigh September 30th.
She said I'd be getting an email shortly confirming all this- and sure enough I did....not only that my tesla.com account DOES now show that delivery appointment.
I'm still pretty dubious of actually getting the car- and still fairly POed at my IDA for leaving me without a car for what's gonna be at least 10 days and basically vanishing once it happened... but it's still something resembling progress... and I've got this womans contact info in case something falls at least.
Funny enough- she's in Vegas now, but mentioned she used to live in Cary
Final update!
My sweet baby M3 is sitting in the garage after having been delivered last night right before sunset. I'm loving the car thus far even while adjusting to some of the differences from an ICE (this is my first EV).
Was that the DMV doc that must be notarized? Though my delivery is pending for Friday, I got a request for this also in a separate mailing from the Delivery Advisor.Despite having the car for 5 days now, the circus continues. I just got an urgent email from Tesla finally sending the registration paperwork that they need to register the car. First I've seen it and it's not signed on behalf of Tesla. As much as I love the car, this sales process is a joke.
That is exciting.. I got the text so maybe I'm in the queue also.A glimmer of potentially good news. Charlotte Tesla called me tonight and offered delivery in at an auto dealer and body shop they work with in South Raleigh. I was offered 1p, 3p, or 6p and due to my schedule had to choose 6p. Apparently they are bringing a shipment or several shipments from Charlotte to that location tommorow and through the weekend. They followed up the call with a confirmation email (once again from the delivery folks in Charlotte). Maybe I can really get delivery tomorrow and maybe some more of you will get similar calls. It seems like they may be doing group delivery events per the call.

I dated my forms the day they were notarized, which was this past Tuesday. Delivery is supposed to be this Saturday.Yes. I'm at a bit of a loss as to when to date things, but just giving it my best shot. Thankfully we have a number of notaries at work, so that hassle is minimized.
