One of my daughter's friends has a pet pig. Nothing to do with Geico but the pig likes to stick it's head out the car window (and no, it's not getting in my car!):

Not so random, but totally off-topic ...

My oldest choc lab, Houston, finished his testing yesterday and is now certified as a therapy dog. This means I'll be able to take him to visit pediatric wards, rehab clinics, nursing homes, schools, children's homes, etc. And once we get that Model X, he'll be able to travel in style. Until then, he'll have to do with the Prius.

It's not so much about just people enjoying petting a dog. It's about kids forgetting they have cancer for awhile, seniors using their arm to pet an affectionate animal, kids struggling to read relaxing while they read to a dog, rehab patients throwing a ball just to have it brought back.

And if YOU have a dog who is friendly, calm, is okay with lots happening around them (wheelchairs, people yelling, too many kids) - pm me and I'll give you more info. It's not a lot of work to get your dog through the testing, IF you have a dog with the right personality.

My dog growing up was a Golden Retriever and a therapy dog as well. They need to be able to handle loud noises and kids hitting them on the face or pulling ears without reacting. They also should not run up and jump on people when they first meet them.
They do great service though. Houston looks like a great dog and deserves his Model X throne for all his work.

Randomness is the topic? I thought the topic was Existence.

1. Went with my buddy for a beer last night. We ended up at Buffalo Wild Wings. They were having pay-per-view WWE wrestling. Place was packed. Didn't think anybody cared about this stuff anymore, but the people in there cared A LOT. Now I have to keep up with the WWE broadcast schedule so I don't end up there on WWE night again.

2. Still no rain here. Getting bad now. The trees' leaves are starting to turn and fall. Lakes around here are down like 8 inches or more. I know those in the desert areas are thinking quit your whining, but I hear the crops are in very bad shape too. I think most of the country is in drought now?

3. I had a dream where it was raining real hard and my car was in three feet of water. I got in it and it was full of water and mud. A few miles down the road I realized it wasn't my car, but one nearly like it. I went back, but my car was gone. Lesson to learn; never park your car in the lowest point of any parking lot, just in case.
