So while out shopping today I had a couple good sightings: At one store I spotted 4 Pearl White Model Xs... All of them looked like the had significant paint issues, and shouldn't have passed QC. This is the best of them: Then at the next store I went to I saw two Signature Red Model Xs, they sure look beautiful!
With an asterisk, and fine print that says "limited lifetime warranty, see back for details." There's always fine print.
Model X are fairly common these days (certainly around here) so I guess this old thread is pretty quiet... but I spotted this bright yellow Model X last weekend in West Vancouver, BC
At the Mall for Tuba Christmas Today. . . Nice wheels and tires! An onlooker asked if I was taking a picture because it was electric, or because it was Mary Kay Pink. I replied "because it's from Alaska!", but I was also intrigued on account of the number of antennae rivaling the VLA .
I did say "ham" radio, not CB. I never got a ham radio license, but I was around it growing up. Our neighbor had such a strong transmitter my mother's sewing machine would go nuts when he was on the air. In the electronics department at my high school most of the teachers were into ham radio. There was a ham radio club and one of the teachers had an antenna rig like that X on his pickup.
