A friend and I went to Cars & Coffee in Lafayette, CO last Saturday. We were pulling in and deciding who to park next to when we noticed another Roadster! I know you California people see them all the time, but it's pretty rare to spot another in the wild in Colorado. It was pretty exciting. The owner had just brought it from CA to CO. I think he said it was #131 (or was it #171?). He seemed pretty excited to be part of the Tesla family.
Nice. I haven't met up with any local roadster owners in Austin yet, but we have a meetup/drive planned for next month...
Saw this one outside my kids’ school. It was exciting to see one. My kids thought it was a “fake” Tesla since all they know is S3X.
Random encounter with a friendly Roadster on an early Saturday morning near the San Francisco Marina!
Very Orange 1.5(?) with a luggage rack on the rear deck in Hermosa Beach this morning. I don't think I've seen this one before (or, if I have seen it, it was without the luggage rack).
My Roadster has the decal set: However, I went to the Dairy Queen. Saw a lady walking across the lot with her boy. The conversation I overheard went something like this. . . Mom: Look, there's a Tesla! Kid: That's not a Tesla. Mom: Yes it is, look! Kid: That's not a Tesla. Mom: (getting flustered) It says Tesla in big letters right there on the side. Kid: THAT'S NOT A TESLA!!
Odd. Every time I show my car at an event, the kids seem to know more about the Roadster than the parents do.
Once, I had a Ford truck full of...Texans...yelling at me at a stop light them - "WHYS THAT SAY TESLA?!" me - it's a Tesla them - "THAT AINT A TESLA. THATS A LOTUS" me - it's a very old Tesla! them "BULLS***, MAN" me - Google it! *accelerates silently away when it turns green*
