Some placement numbers to mull about.

At abou 5:20 on this TED video GM's Larry Burns talks about a study they did for placing hydrogen stations. The thinking can be applied to Quick charge or battery swap locations.

He says in the 100 biggest cities they could place a station so you are always within two miles of one and put them along every 25 miles on the freeway and that equals about 12,000 stations. (The NPN says there about 167,000 in the US.)

So can't PBP put battery swap stations at the freeway locations?

Two miles from a point of charge actually seems excessive considering you can charge at home where you will always leave with a full tank and rarely come back totally empty.

There are some non related but interesting bits at the end of the 2/05 video where GM is serious about hydrogen. :biggrin:
