Range increase on 2020.24.6.1

Did anyone else notice a range increase with the latest software update?

My range on my LR AWD went up to 324. Is there any reason for the update, or did Tesla decide to just update some of the constants?

nope.. my range dropped 3 miles, from 90% @ 270 to 90% at 267 (not that I really care, or think this is real "loss", just answering your question.

And i just thought it was me!

i briefly saw 326 range on my M3P when i first charged after 2020.20.12 whilst my charging rate dropped to 16amps! It then reverted to 310... (Stats App 100pct range).

Bugs, showing the entire battery as range when its meant to reserve some, managed to improve efficiency of software / motors, or just a ghost in the machine??

That's true, I didn't consider that it could be unlocking more of the hidden topline buffer. This sounds like a topic for @AlanSubie4Life (even though you've probably explained this to people like me a thousand times already )!

But along the same lines as OP. I haves P3D stealth. Does anyone else think this same update increased performance? It feels more than a bit more responsive since this update.

Yup, picked up 4 miles at the 80% level. Haven't checked other points.

did not get a range update?
When they increased the sr+ range some months ago I mine did not get any increase
Are they just in new sr+

I'm waiting for 2020.24 to see what happens but range was lost ~10-15 miles with the last update to 2020.20.12

No change in my range. LR AWD with the latest update 2020.24.6.1. Been stable at about 300 miles at 100% for a while now.

As it turns out, that's exactly what happened. Next time I saw the app I was down to 319. Doesn't matter at all, I was just curious!

Tesla is pretty vocal when they add performance via an update (as would be the various youtubers and forum members with draggys and vboxes)

I have a vbox. But was too lazy to hook it up. I’ll try out this weekend.

Mine went up two miles (268 @90%) after being stable at 266 for about a year. I don't know if it was the update or the fact that I went to the lowest charge I've ever had that same day - down to ~30% while normally I never go below 50.

That or the hot temperature depending on where in Colorado, Denver is showing 90’s

Pretty sure that was listed in the release notes.

Yeah I noticed it in the release notes, I was just curious what the reason was for it (reducing the size of the top end hidden buffer, results of new EPA testing, tweaking regen to unlock a bit of efficiency, etc.).
