Range mode, battery heating etc.

I tried searching but didn`t find much about this. Is there a range mode option i TM3 like in TMS\TMX? How well does it heat battery while driving? With preheating I understand that engine heats battery, but what happends when car i driving? Is it heated with waste heat from engine og is engine running "faster" to warm battery? One thing I dislike about TMX\TMS is the huge energy consumption when battery is cold. You can turn on range mode and then battery heats slowly, but not when preheating. I usually preheat without range mode and turn it on while driving to get a decent amount of regen, but not up to 30-40 kW which batteryheater does.
