We took delivery of a rwd sr+ recently. My wife's commute is approximately 100 miles round trip. The driving is mostly highway at about 75mph and she says she left the temp in the cabin around 70. We had sentry on and she parks from 745 till about 4-430 and drives home. On her way back she got a message saying she needed to stay below 70 in order to reach her destination. She panicked and called me. I spoke to Tesla and they said she actually had quite a bit more range than the car showed but still, should it have gotten all the way down to 4% battery from 90% charge in the morning with a full preconditioning? The car is already going to service due to body panel gaps and a shattered vanity on delivery. Should I mention the battery?
P.s. I've read a ton regarding charging and taking proper care of the battery so I understand the reasoning for charging the way we do
