Ranger service: what am I entitled to?

Even though I live within 20 miles of a service center, I bought the ranger service plan.
Whenever I call a service center, they always ask when I'll drop off the car. I always ask, can I do it without driving myself to the SC?
So far, they've always said, sure, they'll pick up my car. One time they towed my [working] car, and the other times they've given me a loaner.
I haven't had to pay, yet.

What's going on? Is the rule that if you bought ranger service, they'll do valet service for free? or do they do valet service for free for everyone? Is it only for stuff that is Tesla's fault? Like if my 2 yr old smashes my touchscreen with a screwdriver will they valet my car for free, or is that on me since it's my fault I let a 2 yr old wield a screwdriver next to my touchscreen?

I believe complimentary valet service is free as long as you live close enough to the SC. Something like within 50 miles or so. You may have wasted your $ on the Ranger service.

I prepaid for Ranger and Valet service and so far my SC has always picked up my car from home when it needs service, that is, if they can't perform the work in my garage.
