Rat gnawed brake hydraulics

Whilst leaving my Tes in the country for three weeks a rat got into the front compartment and exercised its teeth on the master cylinder and possibly a brake line. I got the Low Brake Fluid warning. I hope it enjoyed the flavour of brake fuid.
Question- do I have to go to Tesla for repairs or can I got to a brake specialist. Does anyone know if master cylinder is unique to Tesla? . Once bitten twice shy.

All Tesla cars sold in Australia with autopilot hardware (so all except the original demonstrators and first built signatures that were 'de-sigged'), use the Bosche ibooster electro-mechanical brake booster that doesn't use any vacuum. I'm not aware of any other cars that do this, but since that unit came out it 2013 it's quite possible that it's in other cars. Depending on what they ate/damaged you might be ok, but in any case they'd most likely buy a brake line from Tesla anyway. I'd give your closest Tesla service centre a call and talk to them about it - they may be able to send the parts to a local brake specialist to fit.

Hopefully they didn't also eat any of your wiring!

Might have been a Marten.
When I was working as a motor Mechanic in Switzerland we used to replace a lot of high tension spark plug leads because they had been chewed by Marders, the Euro equivalent. If its a low pressure brake like ie a feed line you could replace it with a Tygon hose but better to get Tesla to look at it.
