Rattling sound from driver side piston on tailgate

Do anybody notice a rattling sound when the tailgate is opening or closing from the driver side piston where the motor is in? I started to notice a rattling sound and went to a SC to have it checked out and compared it with 2 other MX that was in there for service and it made the same sound but when I tested 2 brand new MXs I couldn't hear the sound and only heard the motor running. The tech said because the new MX haven't been driven yet so you don't hear any rattling sound but I'm thinking that doesn't make any sense. But I do hear the sound from used MXs so I'm not sure if its a defect or not. The tech didn't want to order me a new piston but since I've been there 4 times in less then 2 months of ownership and waiting on a few items he agree to order it for me. Thanks everyone in advance!
