Hi,

I just want to share a real life range of my 90D after 30k miles on it.

The trip started with 90% battery charged, mild temperature, AC was off.

The trip is 65.1 miles, took 1:04hr. onboard system reported by 331 wh/mi, and total consumed energy was 21.6Kwh.

After the trip, the reported battery is about 59%. 65.1 miles / (0.90 - 0.59) ~= 210

21.6 Kwh / 0.31 ~= 70 Kwh

It seems to degrade pretty fast if the calculation is right.

Your second Calc is wrong; if you divide total power used by average power used per mike, the remaining units are miles, not KWh, and your efficiency was 331 not 310.
So 21.6/0.331=65.26 miles which is your stated distance.
Your first calc shows that at this consumption your max actual range would be 210 miles, wasn’t the 90’s published rate 240? So 210 actual isn’t all that bad.

I have a P90DL with 22s (35k miles). ~140 miles, in 40 degree weather with several elevation changes.
I just bought a set of 20s with rims/tires for $1200 on eBay for road trips to help with range.

2016 X 90D with 22” scorpions. Rated range 252 miles (down from 257 new). If I’m careful and keep it to 65mph in good weather, 200 miles is reasonable.

MX 2016 90d, 6 seater, 36k miles on the clock. We had a trip over weekend with 3 persons, fully loaded front trunk and Thule bike trailer with 3 bikes. 80% of the trip speed was around 60mph. The results: 122 miles = 38 kWh. Considering the fact usable battery capacity is 81.8 kWh, we arrive at 262 miles it can be covered under these conditions.
