Really tight garage entrance

My Garage door is 7ft, wider on the inside so doors will open ok, will my m3 on order summon through such a narrow entrance

My door is 8 feet, and of the dozen or so times I tried to summon through it I think it failed 25% (it just stops moving). If you only have 1 garage door I wouldn't risk trying that because you won't be able to squeeze past to get in and move it. Also just considering how tight that fit is, I think you should be steering it in yourself to be safe.

I agree that you should drive in yourself. Set your mirrors to automatically fold when you use HomeLink to open the garage, or when you approach that location. To keep the mirrors from unfolding inside your garage, make sure the mirror auto fold setting is OFF.

BTW, your new 3 won’t have Summon unless you have FSD (or EAP).

I would not risk it.

Even with mirrors folded, the width of the Model 3 is 76.1 inches (vs 82.2 unfolded), almost 6 1/2 feet wide. I would not be comfortable at all with only a 1/4 feet of space each side for summon.

You'll find that it's easier to do it yourself.

I find it good to have the rear view mirrors auto tilt down, and back it in yourself.
